Subcommittee reports

The Infrastructure subcommittee explained the process for an Enterprise Active Directory update and outlined WACIRC incidents in September.

The State/Local Government subcommittee announced Patti Prouty as its new proposed co-chair and detailed the reports it's working on.

The Small Agency subcommittee announced that it's seeking a new co-chair.

HRMS status
"Vision and direction for future"

Steve Young, Department of Personnel, reported that integration testing has started on the HRMS project, which is on schedule.
  • Group 0 end user training is January 3-13, 2006
  • Group 1 training is February 13-March 31, 2006
  • Group 2 training is April 10-June 30, 2006

Words from the State CIO
"Report of past year, direction for future"

Washington state CIO Gary Robinson spoke about his three DIS priorities - providing quality and reliable services, promoting innovative technology, and increasing the focus on project management to ensure success. Gary also spoke on DIS service offerings, promoting the SmartBuying initiative as a best-practice agency purchasing option.

Enterprise Architecture update

Scott Came, Department of Information Services, spoke on the redirected focus of the Enterprise Architecture Committee and reported two open positions on the committee.

Leaderpath for IT update

Jim Albert, Department of Information Services, described the first session and capstone projects for students in the Leaderpath for IT program.

The December CAB Meeting is canceled.
